To Brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi St. Paul Minneapolis (MN) Alumni Chapter:

We would like to announce the passing of Bro ‘Doc’ Lowery Johnson. Many of you, if not all of you, have had the opportunity to know and work with Bro Johnson over the years and know of his warm personality and love for Kappa.

  • Please prepare yourself to be in attendance at his wake to be held at Estes Funeral home, 2201 Plymouth Avenue North, Mpls, MN 55411 at 5pm Thursday January 26 and participate in our Kappa Alpha Psi ritual ceremony (Red Jackets, White Jackets, Dress suits preferred)

  • Funeral services are scheduled for Friday January 27 at 10am at St. Peters AME Church, 401 East 41st Street, Mpls, MN 55409.

  • Burial will be at Fort Snelling following Friday morning’s service.

  • As many of you know, Doc’s son in law Willie Bowes has been an active participant in Bro Johnson’s life. He welcomes your prayers for the Johnson and Robinson family. He is open to receiving calls from you. He can be reached at 612 386 1158.

I will attempt to keep you informed of changes or other updates as I learn of them.

From the Polemarch

Thank you for taking the time to visit the website of the St Paul/Minneapolis (MN) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.  On behalf of our members, I welcome and invite you to a glimpse into our chapter history, activities, and accomplishments illustrated within.

Over a century ago, 10 brave men sacrificed their safety and selflessly founded a fraternity that is based on the fundamentals of achievement.  Since 1954 our chapter has remained diligent in following their lead. We believe in community involvement and betterment through service.  Our service includes; youth mentorship, adopting families for the holidays, annual Santa Breakfasts, St. Jude fundraising, and many other community support projects.
